Bookworm Gardens grows your child's imagination, cultivates curiosity, fertilizes wild spirits, and prunes away self-doubt. Join the fun at the gardens for six weeks of nature-based learning and hands-on creativity at Bookworm Gardens! A full list of camp options are below.

How do I Register?

Complete Registration form.  Registration and payment information must be received in person or via mail. Payment must be received with registration forms. If the camp you desire is full when registration forms are received you will be contacted about the wait list.

When is Camp?

Sessions start June 19 and run weekly (excluding the week of July 4), with the last session offered during the week of July 31. 

What are the Session Lengths?

At summer camp, each session is a few hours - from 2 -3 hours. 

What is the Cost?

Cost for full camps: $160 per camp (members) / $180 (non-members)

Friends in the Gardens (3 days): $60 per camp (members) / $70 (non-members)

 Friends in the Gardens (Session I)* 

June 19-21, 10 AM – 12 PM
Age Group: 3 years of age by June 1

Join us for three magnificent mornings in the Gardens for our youngest campers! Campers will experience the Gardens’ colors and flavors, explore objects both BIG and small, and celebrate nature with activities perfect for busy bodies and brains. *Please note that Session I and II of Friends in the Gardens are identical.

 

 Edible Adventures 

June 26-30, 9 AM – 12 PM
Age Group: Entering 1st and 2nd Grades
Calling all future foodies! The Bookworm Café is open for learning! Plant your own rainbow, harvest herbs and veggies, create stellar smoothies and get messy making mud pies during this week long exploration of food! Campers will participate in a farm-to-table experience like no other. Hands-on garden fun coming right up!


Creative Creatures & Co.

July 10-14, 9 AM – 12 PM
Age Group: Preschool (entering 4K)
Journey to where the Bookworm wild things are! We'll explore the Gardens through the eyes of our animal friends and meet critters large and small. Our mornings will be spent reading stories about curious creatures, investigating homes and habitats throughout nature, and making art inspired by animals of all types! Ready, set, ROAR! 


Friends in the Gardens (Session II)* 

July 17-19, 10 AM – 12 PM
Age Group: 3 years of age by June 1
Join us for three magnificent mornings in the Gardens for our youngest campers!  The Explorers Club 

July 24-28, 9 AM – 12 PM
Age Group: Entering 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades
Authors, illustrators, and outdoor-adventurers unite! Grab your nature journal and join us for a week of close-looking and creating in the Gardens. Our mornings will be spent reading stories, harnessing the power of observation, getting inspired by the natural world, and creating our own Garden Field Journals! Adventure awaits! 


Wondrous Wanderers 

July 31 – August 4, 9 AM – 12 PM 
Age Group: Entering Kindergarten
Hop aboard the magic school bus and join us for an adventure like no other! Together we'll travel through uncharted lands and discover a world of wonder. Each morning will bring with it a new destination - travel back in time, sip tea in the Japanese tea house, and use your imagination to dream up your very own kingdom. Oh, the places we'll go...
