Camp Evelyn and Camp Manitou are geared up for your girl to go camping this summer! Imagine camp adventures, campfire stories, and making lasting friendships with your camping unit.  

Each week, a new theme directs the camp's action, and they keep it packed full of every interest and activity you can imagine!

Explore campfire culinary arts with Food Fusion week, or get in touch with your inner creative artist using natural elements and more with Art Attack

Ready to take on the world? Pack your bags for Globetrotters week as you journey around the world by learning games, art, recipes and more!

Embrace your curiosity with with CSI Academy week as you learn secret codes, suspect sketching and more to solve the mystery.

Ready to unwind? During Brains and Beauty Week, Camp Evelyn is transformed into Spa Evelyn, with yoga, mud baths, and making your own beauty products. 

And uh-oh, watch our for Zombology week! Survive the attack of the zombies by learning survival skills and get put to the test in our simulated outbreak!

There's also the chance to learn horseback riding skills, and embrace water adventures such as stand-up paddleboard, fishing, and even building gigantic sandcastles.

When is Camp?

Camps start June 18, and run through the summer, with the last camp ending August 14

What are the Session Lengths?

At summer camp, you can come for the day or for 3 days, 5 days, or even  12 night sessions. 

What is the Cost?

Cost varies by what you choose. Please see the website  for ALL information. Financial assistance is available if needed for a Girl Scout to attend camp.

Does My Child Need to be a Girl Scout to Attend?

Summer Camp is open to all girls entering the 1st-12th grade. Not a Girl Scout? Simply add $25.00 to the camp fee to become a member, and join in the fun!

Can My Child Attend with a Friend?

Campers may request to be placed in the same unit as her friend(s). To ensure this, please list your camper’s buddy(s) name(s) on the online registration form. Buddies must register for the same session and dates.

Where is Camp Evelyn?

Camp Evelyn  is near Plymouth, Wisconsin. We have a beautiful lake, a flowing river and a sparkling swimming pool

Where is Camp Manitou?

Camp Manitou in Shoto, Wisconsin, is on the banks of Serenity Lake in Manitowoc County and is graced with deep forests, rolling trails, and even a frisbee golf course.

Does my child have to Sleep Over at Camp?

You may choose the session length. Camping for a Day is available at both camps, and is the first step towards staying over at camp. For the 3-day, 5-day, and 12-day session,  cabins or tents are provided.

 

What about Homesickness?

Camp staff members are experienced with helping campers move past homesickness, and several things are put in place to help with homesickness, including emails, letters, and more!

Moms or dads, bring the special girl in your life, your gear, your enthusiasm, and let us take care of the rest. You can focus on making memories with her that will last all her life. Girls, along with a special adult, will have plenty of time to go kayaking, swim, hike, sing songs, enjoy campfires, and of course, make s’mores. All food, materials, lodging, and activities are included.

 

  Camping for the Day  

Check in is 8:30 a.m. and check out is 4:30 p.m.
Open to all grades

This first step towards staying over at summer camp allows girls to have all the great fun that happens at camp during the day, like theme week activities, swimming, hiking, art projects, singing camp songs, playing games, nature activities, and building independence while checking out camp. Lunch and snacks are provided. Our camp staff will provide supervision along with their special brand of Camp Magic. Parents, be prepared; day campers often have so much fun they can’t wait to participate in the following three-night session.

Camp Evelyn Days: June 19, June 26, July 5, July 6, July 7, July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31, August 7 and August 14

Camp Manitou Days: July 26, August 2 and August 9

These sessions are girl-only events where plenty of adult supervision is provided by the camp staff. Adults may not remain on camp property during the session

 

 Camp Evelyn Weekly Themes   

Each week has a special theme and all the great camp fun. Camp activities will reflect the theme of each week, but rest assured all the great amping activities will be included each week regardless of the theme. Below are just a sample of some of the awesome camp adventures that await at Camp Evelyn. See the full registration information for ALL camps offered.

Girl vs. Wild 
As a nature detective, you will dig into the mysteries of nature and science first-hand. The forest, hills, and mighty river will be your playground for orienteering, constructing shelters, and tracking animals. Solve a nature scavenger hunt, go on a rock-climbing trip, and get up close to live animals with a wildlife specialist.

Food Fusion
Explore the world of culinary arts! Cook over a campfire, make unique snacks, and learn baking basics. You will try foods from around the world. Learn how food goes from farm to table on a trip away from camp. Finally you will have an extreme challenge cook-off where you dish will be judged. By the end of the week, you will be able to prepare a special meal for your family!

Art Attack
Get in touch with your inner artist as you paint a masterpiece using brushes, fingers, sticks, stones, and balloons filled with paint! Experiment with colorful substances that produce rad reactions. The “Camp Evelyn Bazaar” will be the perfect place to “sell” your artwork. Work as a team to win the Camp Color Cup! Each day your team will be given a new challenge to test your mind, eye, and body!

Just Add Water
Enjoy all that water has to offer! Enjoy a sunset swim in the pool, look for aquatic creatures in the Mullet River, go kayaking and stand up paddle boarding in Crystal Lake, and have a floating lunch! Learn about the eco-system in the Mullet River and Crystal Lake. You will stay cool by making slushies, playing water balloon battleship, and in a water scavenger hunt.

Zombology 
Uh-oh. Camp Evelyn is being attacked by zombies! Survive by learning quickly and being careful . . . zombies are lurking. It is up to us to save our sister Girl Scouts. Learn bush craft such as building a fire, collecting clean water, creating a shelter, making lifesaving knots, and finding different food sources. Think you know all about zombie survival? Then put your skills to the test in our simulated outbreak where zombies invade camp. Your “out of the box” thinking will help your team discover a cure!

CSI Academy 
Be part of the distinguished Camp Evelyn Camp Scene Investigation Unit. The camp director has gone missing. We will be creating disguises and learning secret code and other tricks of the trade along the way. Using the science of fingerprints, fibers, tool marks, and suspect sketching to help solve the mystery. Grab your magnifying glass and uncover skills for investigative minds!

Brains and Beauty 
You’ve been told “don’t try that at home,” so try it at camp instead! Test scientific myths and embrace your curiosity. Relax, unwind and feel good inside and out at Spa Evelyn! Practice yoga, take a mud bath (a.k.a river stomp), sample tasty snacks, and make your own beauty products. You will have a swanky indoor slumber party while trained consultants share all the secrets to natural healthy skin. Make your own fizzy bath bombs or personalized bath salts, study color-changing nail polish, and make your own hand sanitizer or toothpaste.

Globetrotters
Pack your bags as we go on a fantastic journey “around the world” and “travel” to different places by learning games, art, recipes, music, and stories from all over the world! Visit a different country each day without the hassle of a passport and jet lag! We are off on a new adventure learning about different cultures.

Counselor-in-Training (CIT I) & Counselor-in Training II (CIT II)
CIT I & II: 12 Night: $720
If you think someday you would like to work at camp, these sessions are for you. Discover and develop skills to be a top-notch camp staff member. Learn to lead and perfect your camp skills. Understand camp staff roles and the characteristics of girls at each age. CIT-I’s have the option to complete the American Red Cross babysitting certificate. CIT-II’s have the option to participate in the American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding course for a sneak peek into what it takes to become a lifeguard (not lifeguard certified). CIT-I is open to girls entering grade 9-12 and CIT II is open to girls entering 10-12. Completion of CIT-I is the prerequisite for CIT II.

The BIG 12-Nighter
Entering grades 2-12 $875 
Congratulations, you have graduated to the next level of summer camp . . . the BIG 12-Nighter. You will enjoy two super fun sessions at Camp Evelyn “Just Add Water” AND “Zombology!”  Over the weekend you may call home and do laundry. (Yes, we will help.)  You will get extra time to swim, have a slumber party, and sleep in just a tad bit later!
12-Night: July 16-28

Zombology Troop Camp
Open to all grades 
$160 per person
When: July 23-25
Your troop is under a Zombie attack! Survive by learning quickly. It is up to us to save our sister Girl Scouts. Led by our counselor, your troop will swim, do archery, and learn the bush craft that will save us all. All you need is your gear and enthusiasm for trying new adventures. Troops will camp in platform tents or cabins and eat in the dining hall. Adults attending will learn to tent camp and cook over the fire, meeting the requirements for Outdoor Adventures certification.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Camp Manitou Camps

Below are just a sample of some of the awesome camp adventures that await at Camp Manitou. See the full registration information for ALL camps offered.

 

Bits and Bridles  
Entering grades 5-12 in fall 
Let your inner horsewoman shine! Learn basic horseback riding, grooming, and stable management. We will start from the beginning and build your equestrian skills, spending at least 2 hours a day at the stable. You will have plenty of time to explore Camp Manitou and Serenity Lake, and to swim, kayak, stand-up paddle board, hike, geocache, and play disc golf. There will be plenty of room for your horse-riding gear, including long pants and sturdy shoes with heels, because you will “camp” in a Camp Manitou building during this session. Limited capacity available.   
Three-Night: June 25-28

Water Adventures
Entering grades 5-12 in fall
Your dreams of living your life on a beach are about to come true. You will wake up, and the first step out of your tent will be onto Serenity Beach. You will canoe, kayak, stand-up paddleboard, fish, and build gigantic sandcastles! You will also travel to Woodland Dunes Nature Center to learn about keeping our waterfronts and wetlands clean and healthy for wildlife. Limited capacity available.   
Three-Night: July 30-August 2

Outdoor Discovery Troop Camp
Check in 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.; check out 6:15-6:45 p.m.  
Open to all grades
$60.00 per person 
When: August 20-22
Are you ready for a rustic camp experience with your troop mates? Grab your tents and let’s go! You and your friends will learn outdoor survival skills like knot tying, shelter building, and orienteering. Enjoy meals over the campfire and sing camp songs as you hike in the woods. To top off your Camp Manitou adventure, you can paddle your way around Serenity Lake on a paddle board or kayak and climb a ROCK WALL! Be ready for some “wild” surprises to
