Weekend Fun for Tri-County Kids: Civil War Re-enactment, Big She-Bang, & Cave Tours September 23
We're easing our way into fall his year, and mid-September is giving us a mix of summer sunshine wrapped in autumn colors. This is the perfect time to take advantage of these beautiful fall days by getting outside and having family fun with the whole gang!
History buffs, Civil War Weekend is made for you! And even if your kiddo's are in the stage where history is booooring, they won't be able to resist watching over 500 re-enacters completely engaged in period battles, food, and more!
Looking for fall festivals? We have three exciting ones to choose from, each unique and ready to embrace the season! Civil War Weekend - Greenbush
This annual special event brings the history of the American Civil War to life with is two action-filled days of battle re-enactments, military drills, medical care situations, period music and food, demonstrations, and more. The weekend spectacle involves more than 500 re-enactors!
Weekend of Giving at Meuer Farm - Chilton
Our Weekends of Giving offer you a $2 discount to our daytime corn maze in exchange for a donation to a local animal rescue. Have fun pumpkin picking, explore the max, and the kids activity area!
FRIDAY September 23
Fish Boil - Elkhart Lake
Enjoy live music, food (more than fish!) and prizes. Kids will be able to tour an ambulance from Orange Cross, Theda Star helicopter, and an Elkhart Lake Police squad car.
Enjoy Irish melodies at the Fountain Park Bandstand, presented by Grace Baptist Church, and featuring the Coffey Ministry Team.
SATURDAY September 24
Pony rides, a petting zoo, carriage rides, face painting, hair treatments, chair massages, performers for the kids, live music at 3 stages, a car show, and the opportunity to purchase pumpkins, apples and other seasonal delights.
Kindness Rocks - Two Rivers
Anyone wishing to spread a little joy and inspiration along our bit lakeshore, or anywhere in our community, is invited to come and paint Kindness Rocks. Feel free to bring your own (bigger) rocks, or we’ll provide some small ones to get you started!
Harvest Happenings - Sheboygan
Farm and food festivities are coming to Bookworm! Join us for our first ever celebration of autumnal abundance with cider press demonstrations, apple tastings, art-making, local music, and so much more!
Smithsonian Day Live! - Manitowoc
If you’re not a member of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum you have the opportunity to gain free admission for this special day TODAY!

The Return of the Big Sheboygan She-bang! - Sheboygan
There will be astounding aerial silk-rope artists, exotic belly dancers, soul-stirring African dancers, whimsical sock-puppet shows, magnificent magicians, and much more. The show will be preceded by a stupendous array of free street performances beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Walk for Kindness - Manitowoc
This 2 mile walk supports the Lakeshore Humane Society. Visit our Walk For Kindness Memory Garden and honor the memory of a beloved pet, or stop in the kids corner for activities before and after the walk. You and your family are welcome to bring your pet all dressed up, but no pet is required to participate in the walk!

Adventures in Science - Sheboygan
Make an explosion, build a volcano, send a rocket soaring or race off a ramp at Above & Beyond Children’s Museum, where you’ll investigate, question and play your way through amazing experiments that explore your world. Experiments change weekly.
Cave Tour - Chilton
Take a naturalist-guided tour of Carolyn’s Caverns at Ledgeview Nature Center. Learn the geology, biology, and human history of the cave. Opportunities for exploring provided. Recommended minimum age 5 years old with parent.
