Come and enjoy the talented students at fall performance at Plymouth High School! This year they are producing an original play written by PHS Graduate (Class of 2016) Kate Harms, with co-writers Julia Krueger and Mary Riley.
The plot centers around a class trip on a Shakespearean-themed cruise, but the ship sinks, and the teacher, Miss Claymore does her best to keep the kids under control AND alive. Her brilliant student, Sarah, helps her keep the kids organized with assigned survival tasks, even constructing a "coconut radio" at one point.
The playwrights plan to attend the Saturday performance – the first time they will see the show performed! – and will stay afterward for a “talkback” with those interested.
It doesn't get more original than this!
Manitowoc's Dare to Dream Theater will present "Waiting for Balloon," a highly interactive multi-sensory performance for very young children and their grownups.
Bobo and Didi, two delightfully curious characters, are waiting for “balloon.” The problem is that neither of them knows exactly what “balloon” is. Through delightful trial and error, exploration and interaction with the audience, the two piece together what makes a balloon a balloon and celebrate all that is discovered while we wait! This is a joyous introduction to creative and interactive story play, or Theater for the Very Young.
