Living Nativities in the Tri-County Area this holiday season
Living Nativities are a recreation of the beloved nativity scene. It is a way for the churches in our areas to connect with the community, and it can be a great way for families and children to see the nativity scene brought to life with real animals, costumed actors, and more.
Start your Christmas season focused on Jesus! See and hear a live 15 minute outdoor presentation of the Christmas story with live animals. A new presentation begins every 20 minutes. Then come inside, warm up and visit our special display of Nativity sets inside our school building. Also enjoy musical entertainment, hot chocolate & cider and Christmas cookies in Bethlehem (our gym).
This is an outside event, held on the street in front of our church, St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, in downtown Two Rivers, WI. We have about 12 different scenes, which tell the story of the night of Jesus’ birth. We use the whole block, starting on one end with the angels as they sing the Good News… to the shepherd’s.
This is our Christmas gift to the community and as such we don’t charge admission. The entire event is FREE, including the chili supper in the basement of the church.
A living nativity is a reenactment of the events surrounding the birth of Jesus. There will be a program of scripture and music, which will accompany live animals, and the costumed characters of Mary, Joseph, shepherds, wise men and angels.
