'Tis the Season! Even the grinchiest of us won't be able to ignore the holidays much longer. There's truly something for everyone in the Tri-County area, and this weekend we have with just enough fun-filled days to get into the spirit.

There's an answer to all the bah-humbug complaints:

It's too cold out! No need to get bundled up and brave the snow. Stay cozy in your car as you see dazzling lights at the zoo or experience a festive lights show choreographed to holiday music. Or stay warm inside as you watch in delight as an elf goes on a comical Christmas journey, or catch a performance of holiday songs while warming your tummy with all-you-can- eat chili.

Christmas is too commercial! Looking to bring it back to the heart of the season? Experience the wonder of a live nativity, with live animals and costumed characters of Mary, Joseph, shepherds, wise men and angels.

Lines are too long to see Santa! Skip the hassle of lines and instead dig into a yummy breakfast or brunch with the Man in the Red Suit. You can even pet a reindeer! Or for at truly unique Wisconsin tradition, greet Santa as he arrives by ship to deliver Christmas Trees as carolers sing.

The holidays just aren't like they used to be. Feeling nostalgic? Step back in time to Christmas tales, holiday customs, and decorations of yesteryear.

I don't have time for Christmas fun - I still have gifts to get! Take a break from the crowds, stay away from the malls and big box stores, and enjoy a relaxing and festive shopping experience. And why not visit alpacas while picking out the perfect gift?!
