In case there was any doubt, (not if you've been around my children!), it's officially the holiday season all around the Tri-County area. Everywhere you look, there seems to be some kind of Christmas fun going on. From a sneaky elf at the library, to a zootastic holiday lights show, to crafting wooden peg ornaments for your tree, there's a lot packed into this week!

There's tons of fun to be had at storytimes this week. Usually a mix of stories and songs, this week we mix in the seasonal fun, too! Don't miss the fun re-telling of The Grinch along with hot cocoa and a holiday craft, and a holiday-themed pj storytime, and a storytime sprinkled with frosting for cookie decorating!

Need a break from all the frenzied focus on Christmas? Get your littles moving at a rompin' stompin' playgroup, get your goggles on for cool science experiments, and cuddle, bounce, and bop with your baby.

Toddler Time—New Holstein

Cuddle, bounce, and bop with your baby in Kindermusik’s newest curriculum. Whether your baby is five weeks or five months, this class will be perfect for you! You and your baby will enjoy instrument play, dance, exploration time, and together time—and you’ll get expert advice and parenting resources based on the most recent research in baby development.

Special Needs Nightl—Sheboygan

Welcome to a fun night out for families of children with special needs! Enjoy reduced numbers of visitors, space and freedom to explore at your own pace, adapted exhibits, a quiet area, fun craft & sensory activities and the opportunity to connect with other families.

Making Spirits Bright Holiday Light Show—Sheboygan

Drive through holiday lights show choreographed to holiday music in Evergreen Park. Drive your own car or jump on a trolley to enjoy this unique community event. No charge but donations of pantry goods are encouraged for the Sheboygan County Food Bank. Presented by the Rotary Clubs of Sheboygan County.

Christmas Fun Storytime—Kiel

Who's ready for Christmas? Join Miss Sheila for music, stories, rhyms and more, with a special activity to celebrate the holidays! Decorate cookies with yummy frosting and sprinkles and get in the holiday spirit! Free.

Storytime—Two Rivers

Stories, music, finger plays, flannel board stories, movement activities and puppets that enhance early literacy skills.Stories are chosen for preschoolers but children of all ages are welcome. Story Time concludes with a simple story-based project.. Free.

Read to Therapy Dogs—Manitowoc

Kids meet with certified Therapy Dogs and read to them 1-on-1. Dogs sit patiently as the children read or tell stories to improve their reading and verbalization skills. The dogs love the kids and are very gentle, letting the children pet them and touch them. Fun for all!

Little Movers Facilitated Playgroup—Plymouth

Little Movers is a facilitated play group that offers many fun activities, guided by the physical therapy staff at Rehab Resources, Inc. These activities promote strength, endurance, body awareness, balance and coordination. Parents/caretakers learn about the benefits of play through movement and may also learn some new activities to try at home. Come join the fun!Free.

Science4Fun—Sheboygan

Shop for the holidays, in our repurposed store, where we sell everything alpaca! Remember alpaca is warmer, lighter, softer and non allergenic compared to sheep wool.
