With our recent weather lately, it almost feels like it's a tug of war between spring and winter. You know which one will win? Summer! Well, eventually, anyway, summer has to come, right?!
It may feel a little early to be thinking about sunny days ahead, but it will be here before we know it, with lazy days and weeks stretching out in front of our kids. And instead of them stretching out in front of the TV and wasting valuable outside time, summer is the perfect time to "Return to Play" by signing up for summer camp!
Camp Y-Koda and Maywood in Sheboygan County are all geared up to get your kids to “Return to Play” by getting kids outside, building, climbing, taking risks, learning skills and really PLAYING with upcoming summer camps. Whether a day camp for a week, a full summer of fun, half-day programs for your littlest ones, or even a taste of sleepaway camp, they’ve got it all!
Camp Y-Koda and Maywood stuffed a full bucket list of specialty camps this summer to peak every child’s imagination and interests, with camps offered for ages 4 -16 ready to reconnect them with nature. And between the different camp options, you're sure to find something to kickstart your summer. Traditional camp activities include archery, fishing, geocaching, arts and crafts, canoeing and kayaking, nature programming, river tubing and more. For the littlest campers, Pee Wee and Eco-Buds programs are just right for getting started and testing the waters. For the oldest campers who are ready for an adventure, off-site trips are the ticket!
For those that really want to dive into something that captivates their interests, the specialty camps are where it's at! These camps are held weekly inconjunction with Camp Y-Koda and Maywood Day Camp, and offer your child a a weekly camp experience dedicated to an interest that captivates them the most.
Everything from adventures on the high seas with the Pirates & Princesses Camp, to discovering the furry, feathery, scaly and slimy animals that make up the animal kingdom at Amazing Animals Camp.
Or go to a galaxy far, far away and learn how to use The Force with Junior Jedi Camp, or head to a galaxy nearby during Blast Off Camp! Or maybe you want a camp that's set to uncover a mystery a little closer to home, like Bigfoot perhaps?!
Get your Happy Feet groovin’ during a week learning all the latest dance moves, or for the child that loves getting dirty, slimy and grimy, there's a camp especially for you!
Have a Little Ninja? Get them all the training they need to succeed as they start studying the craft with a Little Ninja Obstacle Course or try out Ninja Warrior challenges.
And what’s summer without a little Wizard Magic? Attend a week at Hogwarts and being your transition into a flow blown wizard with house-sorting, Quidditch, Patronus skills and making your own camp-friendly Butter Beer!
Get your Mad Scientist outdoors while still discovering crazy concoctions, try Boots and Saddles Camp for your horse lovers, or Cupcake Wars Camp for an epic kitchen bake-off. They even have skill-based camps for fishing and hunting…and so much more!
