High Cliff State Park
In 2014, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism named High Cliff State Park as one of the Seven Natural Wonders in Wisconsin. The paths are mostly paved, making it easier to maneuver with kids. The gorgeous naturtal rock formations and the views of the water offer some of the most breathtaking sights Wisconsin has to offer, right in your backyard!
Kettle Moraine State Park
The northern unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest has more than 132 miles of trails, varying in difficulty and length. The striking views of the forest and the beautiful landscape make it a great day-trip destination.
Kohler Andre State Park
Along the shores of Lake Michigan, this park gives you a taste of different ecosystems: beach, pine forest and the marsh. Hiking trails wind through the white pine forest and along the lake. The most unique hiking trail is the wooden boardwalk that protects the stunning sand dunes for two miles along the lake. Other places to explore include the nearby nature center and a fishing pond stocked with trout and panfish and hiking trails.
